Denunciation and Acceptance of risks
Please read carefully!
As a participant in a sliding sport (downhill skiing, snowboarding or any other sliding sport in resort):
I acknowledge and declare that I have the physical abilities required for the practice of a sliding sport.
I agree to abide by the Mountain Code of Conduct (“Code”) at all times and to show courtesy to others. The Code is enacted under the Safe Sports Act. This code applies to anyone who practices a sliding sport and has the force of law.
I acknowledge and understand that the practice of a sliding sport involves inherent risks and in particular, but not limited to, the following elements constitute risks inherent in the practice of a sliding sport:
• Changing climatic conditions;
• Changes in the degree of inclination of the slope;
• The presence of natural obstacles and/or obstacles made by the station or other participants in the activity and the condition of the mountain. Any obstacle or natural condition of the mountain or made by the station or other participants, such as the presence of pits, crevices and streams, the presence of rocks, earth, spaces not covered with snow, the presence of trees, regrowth of trees, natural shrubs and stumps, as well as any other natural or manufactured obstacle not listed above, but which may be found in the resort;
• The presence of ice and ice patches;
• Any change in the conditions of the skiable surface;
• Any collision with another skier or any other person;
• The presence of pylons, poles and other structures used or not in the operation of the station, but which may be found in the station, as well as the collision with these elements;
• The use of ski lifts of any type, whether for risks related to boarding or disembarking, stopping during the ascent or any other;
• The presence on the trails of mobile trail maintenance equipment, emergency vehicles, as well as snowmaking equipment or any other type of mobile equipment necessary for the operation of a resort;
• The use of snow parks and/or modules of any type that may be found there;
• Risks related to avalanches, landslides or mass movemen
I am aware of the inherent risks associated with sliding sports and the possibility of bodily injury, death, damage to my property or any resulting loss and I accept and assume full responsibility for any damage resulting in particular from the said inherent risks above. listed as well as in connection with any other inherent risk not specifically mentioned in this form.
I acknowledge that any potential dispute relating to this agreement will be submitted solely to the courts of the province of Quebec, which will have exclusive jurisdiction
